2025 has been off to an epic start here in Cornwall! Not only have we had an amazing few weeks of swell, offshore winds and sunshine, much needed after all the storms and rain! We’ve also been blessed with heaps of Humpback whale sightings .. not something we usually associate with life in Newquay!
With glassy seas its been easy to spot multiple humpbacks and heaps of dolphins swimming just off the headlands around Newquay. Below are some pics from a wonderful afternoon watching them from the cliffs above Bedruthan Steps, we saw a couple of whales with a pod of dolphins, jumping and tail slapping in the swell. All topped off with a stunning sunset .. thanks Universe, its not often we can be completely distracted from perfect lines of incoming waves!
