It’s time to celebrate another wonderful woman in our Surf Sistas Interview series! This time we had the joy of chatting to long term friend of Surf Sistas and all round one women circus Rosie Underwood.

And although she’s a legend of the big city lights, Rosie is a grounded soul, creating space to enjoy the ocean through surfing and swimming as well as dedicating time to helping others.

You may be a city dweller yourself, exploring how you balance life as an urbanite with your passion for surfing or swimming. You might find Rosie’s story inspiring and relatable!
We chatted to her earlier this year to learn more about her life and her relationship with surfing and the ocean.

Not only do we want to share reviews from past Surf Sistas with you but we also want to celebrate how far these women have come in their surfing journey and where a course with Surf Sistas has taken them to next!

We caught up with one of our past Surf Sistas, Tab, who joined us on several courses in 2022. We noticed on Insta she is aiming to surf her way across South-East Asia in 2023 and we were curious to find out more!

Eco-friendly, natural mineral sunscreens” have taken to the market as an alternative to chemical sunscreens. But what is in them? And are they effective at protecting us from UV rays?

We’ve debunked the confusion, getting to grips with what chemicals in regular sunscreen are evidenced as harmful and weighed up the pros and cons of both chemical sunscreen and mineral alternatives.

This will be the first year in it’s 50 year history that women have competed at the Vans Pipemasters. This opens the opportunity for women to showcase their talent and inspire the next generation of female surfers.
